A devoted Oasis fan is claiming he was accidentally injured during a security incident at the band’s recent sold-out concert. Joel Garner, 34, alleges he was “knocked out” by security personnel while they were attempting to apprehend a concert-goer who had breached security. The incident resulted in Garner requiring medical attention at an A&E (Accident and Emergency) department.

Garner, a self-proclaimed “super fan” of the iconic Britpop band, described the chaotic scene, explaining that he was standing near the front of the stage when the incident occurred. According to Garner, security guards reacted swiftly to a person attempting to jump the barrier, and in the ensuing rush, he was inadvertently caught in the crossfire. “I was right there, enjoying the show, completely into it, when suddenly there was this surge,” Garner recounted. “I felt a push, then everything went black. I woke up on the floor with people all around me.”

He continued, “It all happened so fast. I saw the security guys moving quickly, trying to stop someone getting onto the stage. I didn't realize I was in the way. It was a complete accident, I know, but it was still a really frightening experience.”

Following the incident, Garner was attended to by on-site medical staff before being advised to seek further treatment at a local A&E. He received treatment for his injuries, which included a concussion and bruising. He expressed disappointment at missing a significant portion of the concert due to the incident. “I’d been looking forward to this for months,” he said. “To miss so much of it because of something like this is really upsetting.”

The concert organizers have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. However, a spokesperson for the venue confirmed that they were aware of the situation and were investigating the circumstances. They emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe environment for all concert attendees and reiterated their commitment to ensuring the security of their events.
