It’s Time To Visit The Stunning Amalfi Coast

There’s a reason why the Amalfi Coast has such a wonderful reputation for being a must-see vacation spot. It boasts 48 kilometers of jaw-dropping views along the coastline. Located all along the cliffs above the Tyrrhenian Sea, a drive down the coastline will leave you speechless. You can enjoy mountains, the sea, and history all while dining in delicious local cuisine and enjoying limoncello. Here are some attractions you can enjoy while you’re there.

The Amalfi Coast

Positano

Positano is the westernmost town on the coast and while it is one of the more popular tourist destinations, there’s a reason for it. You can visit the 13th century Santa Maria Assunta church, walk the narrow lanes near the port, and spend some time at the cafes. You can also spend days at the beach with paddleboats, sailboats, motorboats, and more. For a slightly less crowded spot, make sure to visit Fornillo Beach.

Grotta dello Smeraldo

Located by the Conca dei Marini village you’ll find this marine cave that has stalactites and features sunlight shining through the water, making it look like it’s glowing, just like the Blue Grotto that you can visit in Capri. Here the water has a bit of a greener shine to it, and the water is crystal clear. You can take a boat to the cave from the Amalfi beach.

Amalfi

The town of Amalfi boasts belvederes, endless beautiful flowers all around, and of course, the stunning view overlooking the sea. The Marina Grande is quite glamorous, but it can also get a bit crowded just like Positano. You can visit the Duomo di Sant’Andrea at the stop of a staircase and the cloister Chiostro del Paradiso that also has a lovely garden.

Ravello

Ravello. is an old town with yet another beautiful view that’s nestled in the Valle del Dragone, which means the Valley of the Dragons. The beautiful lush gardens are parks that you can visit and enjoy the view from. There are several beautiful churches here, left over from the days when it was a much larger town. These include the San Giovanni del Toto, the Cathedral of San Pantaleone, and the Sentiero Atrani.

Villa Rufolo

This gorgeous villa features stunning green gardens and a breathtaking terrace view that actually inspired Wagner’s magic garden of Klingsor in Parsifal. It was originally a manor and farm that was passed down generations starting from the 13th century. There’s a Neo-Moorish cloister that was added in the 18th century and the gardens were added in the 19th century. You can see some art exhibits while you’re here and there are also concerts and music festivals during the summer you can check out.
