Simultaneously, he is urging the public, especially pilgrims and those traveling, to exercise utmost caution amidst the ongoing extreme heat conditions gripping the country.

The 'Code White Alert' signifies that all hospitals and healthcare facilities are on heightened alert, ready to accommodate a surge in patients needing medical attention. This preparedness is crucial given the expected influx of travelers and pilgrims during the Holy Week, a period traditionally marked by significant movement and gatherings.

“I commend our healthcare workers for their unwavering dedication and sacrifice, especially during this peak season. They are the frontliners who tirelessly serve our people, and we are eternally grateful for their commitment,” Senator Go stated in a recent press release. “The government is committed to supporting them with the resources and equipment they need to effectively provide care.”

Beyond the healthcare system's preparations, Senator Go emphasized the importance of public vigilance in light of the scorching heat. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued heat indices warnings across various regions, posing a significant health risk to those exposed to prolonged outdoor activities.

“We are experiencing extreme heat conditions, and it's vital that everyone takes precautions to protect themselves and their families,” Senator Go warned. “Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and seek shade whenever possible.
