PhilHealth's Konsulta Caravan Extends Healthcare to CAFGUs, Former Rebels in Misamis Occidental
In a bid to expand healthcare access to marginalized communities, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)-10, in partnership with the 10th Infantry Battalion (10IB), successfully launched the Konsulta Service Delivery Caravan at the 10IB Headquarters in Barangay Burgos, Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental. This initiative aims to provide quality healthcare services to the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) members and former rebels, promoting universal health coverage and social health insurance. By bringing healthcare directly to these communities, PhilHealth and the 10IB are working together to improve health outcomes and reduce disparities in healthcare access. This collaborative effort highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving universal health coverage, particularly in remote and underserved areas. With the Konsulta Caravan, PhilHealth is taking a significant step towards ensuring that all Filipinos, regardless of their location or background, have access to essential health services, including health insurance and medical consultations.
