Miami, FL – The Miami Marlins saw a promising start fizzle out in a 2-1 loss despite a stellar performance from rookie starter, Luis Perez, who was pitching in front of a large contingent of family and friends. Perez, making a significant impression in his early career, showcased poise and control, keeping the opposing team largely at bay. However, the Marlins’ offense struggled to convert opportunities, ultimately costing them the victory.

Perez Shines Under Family Spotlight

Perez’s outing was undeniably the highlight of the game. The young pitcher, visibly energized by the presence of his family in the stands, delivered a masterful performance. He navigated tricky situations with composure, showcasing a developing arsenal of pitches and demonstrating a maturity beyond his years.
