PunThai Coffee and Subway partner to establish an EV charging hub at PEA EV Hub Cha-Am, catering to travelers and electric vehicle users.
PunThai Coffee and Subway have officially collaborated to launch a new service point at the PEA EV Hub in Cha-Am. The initiative aims to integrate food and beverage services with electric vehicle charging infrastructure to support the growing number of EV motorists traveling through the region.
Strategic Partnership Details
The project was announced by Anan Rattanamankong, Chief Operating Officer of PunThai Coffee Co., Ltd., and Petcharat Utaisang, Managing Director of Goluck Co., Ltd., which serves as the master franchisee for Subway in Thailand. By combining PunThai's local coffee presence with Subway's international sandwich brand, the partnership seeks to create a comprehensive lifestyle stop for commuters.
The location at the PEA EV Hub allows drivers to recharge their vehicles while accessing high-quality dining options. This model addresses the specific needs of EV owners who require downtime during long-distance travel.
Supporting Thailand's EV Ecosystem
The expansion of service stations at charging hubs reflects a broader trend in Thailand's shift toward sustainable transportation. As the government promotes electric vehicle adoption, private sector entities are increasingly focusing on the infrastructure required to support high-traffic charging points.
