Seremban, July 5 – In a move aimed at bolstering Umno’s strength and unity, Umno Youth Chief Datuk Dr. Muhamad Akmal Saleh has called upon former leaders who were either suspended or sacked from the party to put aside personal egos and consider a return. This plea specifically addresses the high-profile departures of Khairy Jamaluddin, Hishammuddin Hussein, and Shahril Hamdan, figures who hold considerable influence within the Malaysian political landscape.

Speaking in Seremban, Akmal stressed that the party’s well-being should take precedence over individual grievances. He expressed a willingness to act as a bridge, facilitating discussions and potentially paving the way for their reintegration into Umno. “If they truly care about Umno, they need to set aside their egos and think about the bigger picture,” he reportedly stated.
