A brave off-duty police officer is recovering after a shocking attack at Wood Green London Underground station last month. The incident, which has sparked outrage across the capital, occurred after the officer intervened when she witnessed a group of teenagers attempting to evade paying their fares.

According to the British Transport Police, the female officer, whose name has not been released, noticed a teenage gang attempting to jump over the ticket barrier without paying. Witnesses reported that the teenagers, numbering around six or seven, immediately turned on the officer, subjecting her to a sustained and brutal assault. Police are now actively hunting the teenage gang, releasing CCTV footage of the incident in the hope of identifying the perpetrators.
