Glasses, vases, glass Tupperware, water bottles: how to keep them looking brand new!
Cleaning glass objects isn’t that easy. They often come out of the dishwasher covered in water spots and often have nooks and crannies that are hard to reach (like water bottles). With this tip you’ll have them looking as good as new.
What you’ll need
You probably already have everything needed in the kitchen. Giving your glassware a deep clean can be done by mixing water with a few drops of dishwashing soap, a teaspoon of vinegar, and a cup of uncooked rice. Yes, really!

What you’re going to do:
Put the rice, dishwashing soap, and vinegar in the glass, the bottle, or the vase and fill it up to the top with water. Put your hand on the opening of the glass or put the lid on the bottle and shake well. The rice scrubs away any filth from the glass. Repeat if necessary. Rinse the glass and let it dry.
Why does this work?
Rice is small enough to get into all the small nooks and crannies but big enough to not get stuck. It’s also good for scrubbing the glass clean without damaging the material. If the glass is in really bad condition let it sit overnight with vinegar inside before you test out the rice trick.
